Star Trek - The NEW old Generation

Well, Paul and I caught Star Trek on it's premier! It was AWESOME! Let me see, I saw it with Paul, I saw it with my cousin, Bill and Michael (son), then saw it with a couple of fellow Knights. Yeah, it was very good. I have to say, for those naysayers, that the new actors did credit to the original actors.

Scotty was GREAT! "I like this ship, it's exciting!"

Traditions Continue

On December 7th, 1979, Paul H. Bartlett and I caught Star Trek, The Motion Picture at a little theatre in Norman, OK. That began a tradition of seeing Star Trek movies on Premier day which has only been broken Once!

Star Trek III - The Search for Spock, premiered with Paul and I in different cities so we did not get to catch that one on it's premier day together. We have, however, been able to catch the others on their premier and plan for this new movie as well.

Star Trek

Linda and I saw Quantum of Solace Friday night. Well, the new Star Trek preview was showing preceding the movie! WOW! I can't wait to get a hold of the new models for this movie! There would be the new Enterprise, Kelvin and shuttles! Any of the above would be SWEET!

Enterprise NX-01

Enterprise NX-01
Originally uploaded by Arroyo Family.

What preceeded were photos of my latest model, the Enterprise NX-01. This was a difficult model because of it's small size. I used a mix of aluminum, steel, and dark grey for this model to give it the metalic look. You will also see gold, copper and silver as well.

Below, here is the latest and most ambitious version of the Enterprise NX-01! This is well over 10 times the size of the little version pictured above! I am in the process of working on this version and have completed much of the painting but am still working on the lighting and will complete the model when all the kinks are worked out. I have a great lighting system for the saucer but am still working on the warp nacelles and engineering section lighting.
